If you haven't noticed already, I have a slightly new website. And with that website comes a new blog. Unfortunately that means my old blog will no longer be accessible, so I want to make sure the information on my old blog about the changes to Theresa Lucin Photography would still be available. Here's the original post:
I have officially moved to Des Moines, Iowa! I'm excited for this new adventure! With the move, I have decided to make a few changes with my business. I know this move and these changes are for the better, and I hope you agree :)
The first, and biggest, change is deciding to specialize in maternity, newborns, and children. While I will still offer a very limited amount of other sessions (including seniors, engagements, and weddings), I will mainly be photographing babies and children up to teenagers. Each session will include family and sibling shots as well as individual pictures. I will still offer mini sessions, though they will be limited to only a few days a year.
As you may or may not know, I am expecting my first baby at the end of August. To prepare for him and to spend as much time with him as possible, I will be limiting the amount of sessions I photograph each month. This is to help me take the time to make each session a custom experience and also to keep editing times to a minimum to ensure you get your pictures in a timely manner.
The next change is now doing an in-person viewing and ordering session about a week after your photo session. I have heard from so many clients months after their session that they still hadn't gotten around to printing their pictures. Photographs were not meant to stay on a USB or on your computer screen. They should be put in albums and hung up on your wall for you and your family to enjoy. These viewing sessions can either be done in your home or mine. The benefit of having these sessions in your home is I can show you different collections and exactly how they will look on your wall.
The final thing that's changing is adding print and digital collections in addition to the normal ala carte options. These collections will include discounts for either a certain number of the same image and size (perfect for gifts for family members) or multiple sizes of different images (great for wall collages). I will also be offering all the edited images on a USB with a print release as a collection. You can also purchase individual digital files of the prints you order.
Hopefully this will clear up a few questions, but if there's any other information you'd like, please contact me!
